What is our annual retreat?

Join us for our annual retreat! Engage in outdoor activities, spiritual reflection, and new connections with the Muslim community from Friday, August 30th at 5:00 PM to Monday, September 2nd, at 12:00 PM at Camp Canadensis in Poconos, PA.

Open to ages 18-35.

A full itinerary will be provided to the attendees prior to the retreat date. However, we have various activities planned for each day consisting of the following:

Will you be staying for breakfast Monday (09/02) morning?

To limit food waste, we require attendees to sign up for breakfast on Monday morning (at no cost). A final group session will be held before 12PM checkout.

Do you have any dietary restrictions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What is covered in the cost?

The cost covers your accommodations in cabins, meals, activities, and use of recreational facilities.

Q2. When should I pay by?

We are offering an early bird discount of $215* if you pay by July 15th.

If you pay between July 15th-August 15th, you will be charged $240*.

Q3. When is the last day to sign up?

The last day to sign up is August 15th, but due to the limited number of seats available, we recommend signing up and paying ASAP so your spot is guaranteed.

Q4. What is the refund policy?

We are offering a 50% refund until July 31st. 0% refund after that with no exceptions.

Q5. Is my spot reserved?

Your spot is not reserved until you make the full payment. If you sign up without making a full payment, and our max limit of attendees is reached, you will not be able to attend, unfortunately. We suggest paying ASAP if you plan to attend.

Q6. can i commute back and forth or leave and return?

Staying the weekend is part of the spiritual experience and we do not allow people to commute or leave and return. If you must leave early for some reason - we completely understand!

Just let a team member know as there are 24/7 gates that require a code or staff to let you in and out. Otherwise, you will not be allowed back on the premises.

Q6. how am I supposed to get there?

We recommend carpooling with anyone you know that is attending. Parking is free at the camp.

Q7. When should I plan to arrive at the camp?

You should plan to arrive by 4-5PM on Friday, August 30th. If you will be arriving later than this time frame, please just let us know.

Q8. When should I plan to depart the camp?

Plan your departure no later than 12:00 PM on Monday, September 2nd.

Q9. Is there an age limit?

The retreat is open to adults between 18-35.

Q10. How will I be assigned a roommate?

Roommates are assigned at random according to gender and age. You may request a roommate closer to the weekend however we CANNOT guarantee it.

Q11. What should I pack?

Full Camp Packing Checklist will be sent out later. It includes, but is not limited to:

Hike-friendly clothes!
Durable sneakers
Bug repellant
Light sweater (Low 60s in the evenings)
Rain jacket & boots (just in case!)
Snacks
Linens, pillows, and a blanket for your cabin.
